Last week, LOCOMOTION project held a focus group meeting to identify the social and demographic factors affecting a low-carbon future for LOCOMOTION’s models to achieve a sustainable society. The role of migrations was also discussed including its social interlinkages and impacts.
The focus group was held and moderate by our LOCOMOTION colleagues from UNU-EHS and the EEB. The results of this focus group will be used to obtain a better understanding of the drivers of change in social systems and to include them in our WILIAM Integrated Assessment Model (IAM). This activity is included in the LOCOMOTION WP5 (Demographic and social system modelling) where the social implications of the WILIAM IAM will be solved.
