Lisbon hosted LOCOMOTION’s first modelling workshop on 22-23 January 2020. It was organised by Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (FC-ID), which leads the environmental work package (WP6).

At this workshop, 15 researchers from seven LOCOMOTION partner institutions defined the modelling framework of the environmental module. This workshop was focused primarily on the modelling of land and water use, the nexus water-energy-land-food and climate change related impacts. A methodology capable of integrating all these aspects while remaining consistent with the full modelling framework in LOCOMOTION was set. Finally, project coordinator, the University of Valladolid, developed a short modelling course using Vensim.
